Venezuela in den UN-Menschenrechtsrat aufgenommen
Die Wahl Venezuelas ist ein herber Rückschlag für die USA und ihre Verbündeten, darunter Deutschland. Sie hatten Anfang des Jahres den selbsternannten Interimspräsidenten Juan Guaidó anerkannt. Dieser Entscheidung schlossen sich allerdings nur gut 50 UN-Mitgliedsstaaten an. Für die Wahl Venezuelas unter Präsident Maduro stimmten am Donnerstag 105 Staaten.
